  • US initial claims for state unemployment benefits dropped 8,000 to a seasonally adjusted 207,000 for the week ended September 29.
  • US Philly Fed’s index for current general activity jumped to 22.9 in September after tumbling to 11.9 in August.
  • US ISM manufacturing index reached 59.8 in September down from 61.3 in August.
  • The UK economy expanded 1.2% annually in Q2 compared to 1.1% in Q1.
