Indian Debt Market Summary


  • The interbank call money rate ended flat at 5.85% on 29th May.
  • Gilt prices ended higher on 29th May supported by bond purchases made by foreign investors
  • A decline in US benchmark treasury yields amid hopes of an interest rate cut by the RBI in its upcoming June policy announcement also aided gilts.
  • The yield of the 10 year benchmark 7.26% 2029 paper ended at 7.12% on 29th May as against 7.15% on 28th May.
